We, at the Delhi Heart & Lung Institute (DHLI), believe that diseases of the heart & lung contribute to significant mortality and morbidity worldwide. Besides being immediate neighbours in the human body the heart & lung share a unique synergy and relation. Any damage to one leads to a loss of function in the other. However they are frequently treated as individual organs rather than as part of a larger system. Our aim is to unify the treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases to optimize outcomes following treatment of heart & lung diseases.
